Biosphere News – Trillium Grant

The Bruce Peninsula Biosphere Association received a cheque from Bill Walker M.P.P. for $241,500 on March 11 at a Pasture Meeting for all local farmers. The money will be used to continue to work with farmers, cottagers, and other residents to clean up Judges Creek and five other streams on the Northern Bruce Peninsula to provide cleaner water in Little Lake and Georgian Bay. I am amazed at how the local farmers are so informed and concerned about environmental issues affecting the peninsula and its lakes, rivers, and wildlife. It’s a very different attitude from the “old days”. If you thought Little Lake looked cleaner last summer, wait ‘till you see it this summer!
